palindrominary day(s)

palindrome + binary = palindrominary

We are the Worldwide Web Headquarters for
National/International/Worldwide Palindrominary Day(s).
This is our official International Palindrominary Day (10 november, 2001*) link button:

Take it and put it on your site. Link it to this page.
We didn't think up the Palindrominary Day idea until
National Palindrominary Day (october 11, 2001) was almost over
so that day didn't get a button.

Worldwide Palindrominary Day isn't until November 11, 2011
so, hopefully, we can get a button done by then.

* Actually, this is the date format for Europe and Australia. The rest of the world uses the yy/mm/dd format. Which is good because that makes November 10, 2001 convert to 01/11/10 which is still palindrominary.

palindrominary faq

What are Palindrominary Days?
Days that fall on dates that are both binary (all 0's and 1's) and a palindrome (same backward as forward). Like 10-11-01 or 01-11-10.

What is the difference between National, International and Worldwide Palindrominary Days?
Most Americans use the month/date/year format. Much of Europe and Auatralia use the date/month/year format. A lot of the rest of the world uses the year/month/date. So, National PD's are those dates that qualify under the American format, International PD's are those that qualify under the European/Australian and/or the rest of the world formats and Worldwide PD's are those that qualify under all three.

Why celebrate Palindrominary Day(s)?
The understated simplicity of binary numbers and the quiet symmetry of the palindrome.

You don't get out much, do you?
No, we don't.
